During the age of civil wars in the 16th century. there were plenty of sword smiths because of huge demands. In the contrary to the swords during OUEI period that was gentle and peace shape, blade construction had become brave and reasonable length to meet with group battle. Tang became shorter and Kasane is thick, rich Hiraniku. Those elaborately made swords were exclusively made by special demands from Samurai warriors. This is a special work by SUKESADA in the year of 1526 that is agreed to a work of special demand because shape is rich, using fine material, the date of year is chiselled and wide/square end grooves. The whole shape is designed for one hand technique which was peculiar during the second half of Muromachi period. Moisutured reflection of fine steel is unlike ones of other mass-produced weapon. This is a master piece of SUKESADA of which Ji-Ha lively works. Fine polished and no visible flaw. Gold double foil habaki collar. Shirasaya plain wood mounting including.
